Clinical Section

The Clinical Section is a study program that ties the clinical work with the Lacanian theory. It includes the following studies:

1. A yearly seminar: The clinical structure of "Hysteria" -  Freud and Lacan.

A yearly seminar on "Hysteria" from Freud to Lacan, at different phases of his teachings. Meetings will be held once a week on Tuesdays,  beginning on 12.10.2010 at 20:00-22:00 at Bet Hashachmat, Tagor Street 26 Ramat Aviv, Tel Aviv.

2. Lectures and seminars with distinguished analysts from The Ecole of Psychoanalysis of the Lacanian Field in Paris.

Throughout the year we will be hosting distinguished lecturers from the Ecole of Psychoanalysis of the Lacanian Field – Paris Forum. Every visit will include intensive study, lectures, seminars and a clinical interview. Colette Soler will honor us with her presence in December 2010, Marc Strauss in March 2011 and Luis Izcovich in June 2011.

Reading together   "L'Etourdit" by Lacan

A Seminar in which forum members and participants will study together "L'Etourdit" – a text by Lacan from 1973. The text is from the later phase in Lacan's teachings and deals with the impossibility of a discourse that touches the Real. Meetings will be held once every two weeks, Sundays from 10:00 – 12:00. Beginning 10.10.2010 at Bet Hashachmat, Tagor Street 26 Ramat Aviv, Tel Aviv.

Cartels

A Cartel is a small study group that focuses on a specific text or subject. Cartels are a private initiative of participants. Details about joining Cartels are at the Forum Tel-Aviv website.

Instructed reading groups

1. "Logic of Phantasm" – Seminar by Lacan from 1966-67. Instructor: Yehuda Israely, Ph.D. Meetings will be held once a week on Sundays 20:30-22:00, beginning on 17/10/2010.

2. "The Technical Writings of Freud"  Seminar by Lacan from 1953-54. Instructor: Anna Guelman. Meetings will be held once every two weeks on Sundays at 20:00, beginning on 17/10/2010.

3. "The Four Fundamental Concepts of Psychoanalysis"  Seminar by Lacan from 1963-64. Instructor: Anna Guelman. Meetings will be held once every two weeks on Thursdays at 18:00 in Jerusalem.

4. "The Four Fundamental Concepts of Psychoanalysis".  Seminar by Lacan from 1963-64. Communal reading. Meetings will be held on the first Sunday of every month at 13:00.
